If you're emotionally, and financially ready, and mature enough to take care of a little life 24/7 then yes. But remember it's a big resposibility. I got pregnant with my first at 22.

IMHO, I would wait. No matter how mature or stable you are, 22 is a time of big transition, as most of our 20's are. Many 22 year olds don't even know themselves yet. I waited until I was 29 to have my daughter and I am so glad I did. The reality is, you are never really quintisentially "ready" to have a child. Waiting worked for me because I feel that I got things out of my system and I am mature career wise and so forth. Your 20's are a great time to come into your own and learn about yourself, then after that, you can devote yourself to someone else.

I was 22 when I had my first. I was mature and 'ready.' We both had good jobs and were building our home and things were going smoothly.
It all depends on your financial state right now and are you married or in a stable relationship? Being a mom is a really tough job. I found the first few months pretty tough to adjust to. But it's all worth it.
Currently 38 wks along with number two and my little man is nearly 3.
Good luck. Only you can decide. Just be sure you're emotionally ready, financially ready and just plain ready!

you cant really decide that just because your 22 dosent mean your ready for a child you could be 34 and not be ready for a child. It all depends on the person and what they want, and if they are emotionally and financially able to care for a baby.I was almost 22 when i had my first and almost 25 with my second that is only up to you,if you feel you are ready and you can handle the pressures of being a mother then go for it

Age has nothing to do with it. For some people 22 is fine. For others they are not ready. Aim to have your baby sometime between the ages of 18 and 48, based on when YOU feel ready, and that is the right age to do it.

That depends.
Are you financially stable? Are you married? Are you finished with college? Have you traveled? Are you prepared to live a life that isn't going to be centered around you anymore?
I was 23 when I had my first child. I don't regret it at all...my daughter is awesome and beautiful. I do wish that maybe I had taken a little more time for myself and traveled.
I know some 22 year olds who can barely take care of themselves and some who are very mature and very good parents. Every woman needs to make that choice on her own.

hehe I'm 22 and have a 2 year old and a 3 month old.
Honestly if you are mature enough, financially secure and are able to handle it then I say yes by all means go right ahead. You will have to make sacrifices like not going out with the girls on weekends unless you have a family member or trusted person to baby sit and you and your spouse will have to learn to communicate more thoroughly about things ( trust me, it makes a HUGE difference)
To me, having my kids is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. BEST.

It's a big responsibility so it is when you are ready and you are at a point in your life that you are quite financially secure and happy. I don't agree with people bringing kids into a bad enviroment or to save a relationship, so it has to be for the right reasons. I'm 20 and don't want kids til I'm 30. I want to live my life first. Sometimes I can hardly look after myself let alone anybody else. Good Luck tho, wateva you decide.

If you are ready and emotionally stable and financially then yes. It also helps if you have a full time partner...? I am 22 I have an amazing 9 month old baby boy... it is the best thign in the world to take care of him and have him depend on me for everything. You just need to make sure they can depend on you that you are stable enough for them to depend on you.

If you're in a healthy marriage and able to care for the child, it's great. Otherwise, no age is a good age.
