Will this graphics card be able to run Guild Wars without any problems? HIS Hightech H925H128E1TOPN Radeon 9250 128MB DDR PCI Video Card

Edit: I'm not worried about if it will work on the highest settings, I usually play all my games on the lowest settings for the best performance. Just wanted to know if I can run the game with that graphics card.

Not knowing what configuration your machine is, I cannot lookup your motherboard specifications, but I would strongly recommend you check out your system specifications and see if your motherboard offers you either an AGP or a PCI-Express video card slot. While the card is listed as qualifying for minimum specifications for Guild Wars, there is also an article about several people having major issues with this card series in Guild Wars. Possibly related to the Direct3d issues previously mentioned elsewhere here.

PCI bus technology video cards was something used back in the early 90s before the age of AGP. Several Video card companies have released newer versions of PCI bus connection video cards similar to those they make for either AGP or PCI-Express. I would avoid these video cards like a virus your anti virus can only Identify and not remove, the technology is way out of date regardless the graphics engine offered. You should be able find a similarly priced AGP or PCI-Express video card that will better handle Guild Wars than this card.

The PCI bus will slow down any good graphics card. The Radeon 9250 is slow on AGP and further slowed down in the PCI format.
If you want to enjoy PC games, move away from PCI graphics format. It is now TOO SLOW for many games.

similar card, same series.

i dont know about that one that you got, but mine has issues with anything that uses direct3d 9... and it wont even work with directx 10... check to see if guild wars operates with dx8 instead of 9...

i think you need something like..
1 gb of ram... minimum 2.6 MHZ processor
and 7600 series of nvidia card or x1600 of ati card
to run guild wars in high resolution and without problems..

I agree with karz.....i had two nearly identical cards, one was pci and the other was PCI-e...pci-e is 4x faster, and therefore a better deal
