First, congrats.

Second... it's good that you're asking. That means that you actually care.

If you are serious...

- Go buy some books, there are many great resources out there.

- Talk to other fathers you admire or look up to. Look at their kids, if their children are doing well... odds are they have some good ideas to share.

- Never stop working at being a better father.

- Love your children no matter what.

- Start young, habbits are formed young. Pay attention to what you are doing to form your childs life.

- Set a good example. Don't be the parent who says, do what I say, not what I do. That doesn't work.

- Love your child no matter what. (worth repeating)

- Be your childs biggest fan. Encourage them to believe in themselves. There will be plenty of people who tell them they can't.

- Be patient.

- Be honest.

- Show love and respect for their mother.

- Be a father first, friend second.

- Spend as much time with them as you can. You will never get it back.

- Tell them you love them, you can never do this too much.

- When they test your patience or upset you, always remember how much you love them. Do not let a moment of anger cause a problem that could last a life time.

What you say and do to or with your children will stay with them.

- Take not one moment for granted with them, each is precious.

- Spoil them, but not too much. Make them work for things, earn them, appreciate them.

- Teach them the value of helping others. Let them see you do it.

- Watch them smile and laugh, it's magic.

Take care.

Be proud of her and be interested when it moves. Treat her like a lady and take special care of her. Her back hurts, her feet hurt, and she is carrying a lot of weight. Give her lots of massages. Also be willing to talk about baby clothes or anything else that excites her. And if she cries, remember all the hormones that are running through her. They always say to be "understanding".

Patience..and remember when your child is growing up that he/she is just a kid, not a small adult. A lot of people have that problem with thinking that their child automatically knows everything the adult knows. Let them be silly and act like a child, don't rush them to grow up. don't make them be quiet all the time, sometimes they just need to talk. Be a part of their life and do things with them, besides just watching tv. Congrats!!

Enjoy every minute. It goes by way too fast. It's hard to believe my daughter turned 17 yesterday. Don't take a single day for granted.

Congratulations! Don't open you mouth while changing Baby's diaper or when holding Baby up in the air above your head (like an airplane). Body fluids are attracted to your face & mouth...
