I'm gonna end everones yes answers right now look at what the yankees have done there 7.5GB in the East and 5.5GB in the wild card. If and that is if the yankees were a lock to make the playoffs than I'd say that he gets the MVP no doubt but we got other great players that are driving their team to FIRST place such as Magglio Ordonez and Vladimir Guerrero so until the Yankees grow the balls to catch up in either of the races A-Rod does not get my MVP award.

Right now he would win the MVP in the AL. I also believe he will continue his hot hand, finish strong and actually win the MVP when the season is over. He is an unbelievable offensive monster.

What does growing balls have to do with catching up in the playoff races? That is stupid. I seem to remember the lead was 14.5 at one point so I would say their balls are pretty big now. Anyway, there is no other argument you can make for any other player. The awards is called MVP for the most valuable player, not the MVPPT, Most valuable player on a playoff team.

Of course he should, noone compares to him. 30 hrs 100 RBI .300 avg is a good year for any other player and A-Rod is already at or above each of those marks with 60+ games remaining.

Yankee fans have long argued that the MVP must come from a playoff team. The playoffs for the Yanks this year is no guarentee.

Absolutely.
The man's on fire, and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
His season so far is one of the best in baseball history. He deserves some sort of recognition!
