I love those adds before DVD`s you would not batter an old lady to death to steal her purse but you copy a film. Piracy is a crime and supports terrorists is the other thing that is silly no it funds peoples beer money

Honestly, In certain circumstances I would not pirate soemthing. I agree with you though, those commercials make a mountain out of a molehill. The only reason I dont mind pirating something, and this may just be my way of defending myself, is if the artist is rich beyond belief. Like if they headline their own tours and stuff. I mainly listen to underground metal, and I prefer to buy the C.D.'s to support the band since they usually dont make alot, also if I like the cover art!

Yes, piracy is theft. We all know it, so are you asking whether theft is wrong? Yes, theft is wrong. How serious a wrong is for each one to decide. I don't pirate DVDs or any other intellectual property, because I'd like to be receiving royalties myself some day.
