I think that America's continuous, unquestioning support of everything Israel does definitely has an impact on our image in the Islamic world, as well it should. This is just one of the reasons I feel we need to disassociate ourselves from this sort of stance.
Of course, that is not the only thing that causes animosity, but it certainly doesn't help. We're talking about centuries old religious conflicts--it would be foolish to say it had no influence.

The excuse for suicide bombing, and plane hijackings etc--has been the bond between Israel and the USA. I say just look at how they have treated each other in the middle east for the last 200 years. They can not trust each other, and they unite only to declare jihad on what they proclaim to an enemy to Islam the Unbelievers -the westerns. No is the answer.

Genesis 12:3
The bible says, that those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. Every time a country turns against Israel God exacts punishment.
It is possible that the only thing holding back judgment on the U.S. is the very fact that we continue to support Israel.
Nothing and no one, will stop the hatred of the Islamics until the end of this age. Then every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If 'Islamists' are only aggressive towards America due to its' support of Israel, then why have there been Islamic terrorist attacks in countries that have NO connection with Israel??? For example, Indonesia?
The Islamic world has been against the free world for many, many years. In the 1970s, it became an 'official' stance when the Ayatollah declared 'War Against The West'. That had nothing to do with Israel whatsoever.
And since you live in a democratic nation, why on earth would you not want to support the ONLY democracy in the middle east: Israel...? You should be so proud that America defends this tiny country, which is smaller than the state of New Jersey!
Trying to appease radical Islam by rejecting Israel would not only cowardly in the extreme, it would be the most immoral thing you could do. If you advocate this action, you are clearly against democracy, freedom, womens' rights, and peace.
Remember: in Iran women still get stoned to death for adultery. In Saudi Arabia, it is ILLEGAL to own or study any religious tract other than the Koran, and women aren't allowed to drive.
In Israel, everyone is free to worship as they please, whatever their faith. And women and men are totally equal.

NO, as long as you do not bow to the imam or covert to Islam you are a target. you might as well get used to it. If you doubt it, explain how the US alliance with Israel caused the following,....
The bombing of the trains in Spain,
the bombings of the Resort in Sharmal Sheik Egypt
The bombings of the night clubs in the Philippians
The bombings on the India/Pakistan boarder
as of to date the 9077 attacks since 9/11 How many on our soil, none, Wake up or die. it is your choice.

If you're referring to terrorists, then you're way off base. They are carrying out attacks on Muslims who are not religious enough to suit them. The U.S. is not even THAT far toward what they would find acceptable. Go to Laura Mansfield`s website and look at some of the translations of the terrorist videos that are being released....no room for negotiation there.

Sounds like an idea if you want to sign the death warrant for Israel. But you kinda got a wrong idea running here too, not all people of Islam hate us, just the wealthy and the extremists. And they hate us for reasons other than Israel, mainly because of the fact we hold no "sacred values" in comparision to them. The extremists believe in a system of strict multidictatorships, and they hate any people who do not follow this same idea. This includes most of Europe and any other developed nation.

And even if the answer is "yes" then its a moot point. The US' goal should never be to score "brownie points" in the eyes of Islamists. Why should they cater to their worldview?

Absolutley not. They would find another reason to hate us. The fact that we support Israel is just an excuse. I'm sure they have a long list of reasons to hate us. Islam is just another religion, and religions being what they are, that endeavors to control the masses. Catholicism used to try to control the world and they failed only now they try to do it through passive influence. The difference between Islam and the Roman Church is violence. The problem to me is when the world will stand up and say enough is enough to religions like Islam that only want to dominate and control.

No. Its just an excuse for their aggressive behaviour. If you drop Israel out of the equation they will surely find another excuse and brain wash their young people into believing that thats what is written in the religious books! Take examples from history and you will see that islamic rulers were always aggressive and destructive.
