That depends on the style of the music. Most styles of rock and pop are American and an English accent wouldn't work (although Sophie Ellis Bextor gets away with it). Opera is generally about Germans singing in Italian. But Flanders and Swan, Chas and Dave and Andy Stewart all sound very British.

they sound very british... just listen how they pronounce "can't"...but really they sound very british...unless it's a song with not so many words...then they might be chinese and you wouldn't know
