Usually he appears when I have just watched a horror movie and I have to use the bathroom. All the lights are out so I hurry to the bathroom, hurry back to my room and jump in bed. Make sure the feet are covered.

Nope. There are a lot more real things to be frightened of than the Boogeyman.

The Boogeyman ?
Scared ?
Hm... maybe if I hadn't known about God, I definitely will be scared
But still for a ageing man like me, its pretty dumb to be scared about urban legend like that

Pray & had faith !

I'm 26. I'm not scared of the boogeyman but I do have a fear of the unknown.

I had no closet so I was never scared of an bogeyman or anything the sort, but I still can't sleep without at least a sheet covering my neck at night. Only in very hot summer nights I allow myself to do it and the same with my feet.

Yes, I'm afraid to sleep alone....I'm serious, I think it has to do with a bad experience as a child.I lived in some apartments, were my room was below this dysfunctional family, were the husband came home drunk at night and beat his family...I always thought it was some killer ...They would scream and I could here them running from one end to another... I didn't find out from my mom, that it had been the husband...until I a few years ago, talk about communication...lol.

I am not scared, but i used to be scared of other things.Until one day,i practised what people say:"there is no such thing as ghosts'' and it worked. My i advice is when ever fear comes, act like u don't fear. After a while,u will get used to it.It worked for me and many others, give it a try and see the result.

Lol. I must admit, sometimes I am, but instead of the mythic shape he took when I was a child, he comes in the form of other things/people.

Is he that thing that makes you run back to the house when you've been to the clothes line in the dark to find something?
Isn't that fun? :-)
Werewolves were the thing that tormented me as a child.
