By deviant, do you mean immoral or uncommon. Your question by nature is quite an oxymoron - "common deviant" so it would be quite difficult to respond to.

If you mean immoral, it depends. Theft for non-vital essentials such as stereos, televisions, cars and bicycles is considered very immoral. Theft on such items is also very uncommon.

Theft for necessities such as food, water would usually not be considered immoral in certain conditions (or at least would be frowned upon less).

I do not believe pre-marital sex among teenagers is quite so deviant either, as nearly 50% of teenagers polled in MN have had sex by the time they were in 12th grade.(1)

There has been a great increase though in battery, homicide and other violent crimes (2)/(3).

Good luck in your search if you are writing a paper for some summer class.

It depends where you are.

If you are from a rich, preppy school, it would be deviant.

On the other hand, there are girls who will shoplift a lip gloss because it's just a cheaper way to get it (not that I'm saying it's good) but that wouldn't really be seen as deviant. You know what I mean? lol it's hard to explain.

They're not doing it to do something bad, basically.

Do you mean deviant as "immoral" or deviant as uncommon?

Yes, it is definitely NOT the norm.
