In England how long do the three penalty points you get for speeding remain on your licence?

Points for speeding remain on your licence and 'active' for 3 years after the date of conviction. 'Active' means any other points gained will count towards the totting up procedure.

They remain on your licence, but 'inactive' for a further 12 months (4 years from the date of conviction). You can then pay to have them removed.

You must declare them to your insurance company for 5 years after the date of conviction.

It used to be valid for four years and on the license for five

Endorsements remain on a counterpart document for:
11 years from date of conviction for offences relating to
drink/drugs and driving, causing death by careless driving whilst
under the influence of drink/drugs and causing death by careless
driving then failing to provide a specimen for analysis
4 years from date of conviction for reckless/dangerous
driving and offences resulting in disqualification
4 years from the date of offence in all other cases.
