Yes, my little sister went through a Klepo phase when she was 12...she was stealing the most unnecessary stuff possible...when she finally got caught...even the store security was laughing at her...she had 8 light bulbs, gum and 2 notebooks...WTH...she had to attend these classes for ten weeks..it turned out she just liked the thrill of all of it...As for the light bulbs...she apparently managed to steal a lamp that turned out to be defective...I laughed too...that's what she gets...

More or less.
I used to know one. She nearly got me in trouble once when she stole some makeup and got caught. She was rich and apparently didn't even want it that much but felt it was over priced, so was making some sort of statement I guess,
Then again, I've got limited sympathy for giving poor/selfish/stupid/impulsive behaviour a syndrome sounding name and justifying it. Take some damn responsibility for your actions!

No, it's for the thrill, and the feeling that you're 'getting over' the system...in some cases acceptance, or to feel a certain way, like you're special and crafty.
