... finished watching Donnie Darko. A few of my friends recommended the movie. I don't particularly like movies, but I decided I'd watch it. I've got to admit, I loved the acting, characterization, and symbolism... But I don't understand an ounce of the plot... Can anyone maybe give me an interpretation of what the hell happened?

I haven't a clue who "Donnie Darko" might be, but judging from the name, it's probably something I would never watch. What are you doing watching movies early in the morning?

I love Donnie Darko.... and no I don't understand what the hell it's about either. I've seen it countless of times, even with the Director's commentary, and it still confuses me. It is a fantastic film though.... you could read the FAQ on IMDB..

Actually, if you watch it again and let the audio commentary run, it explains it fairly well.
