if you have to pick one LeAnn Rimes. She has shown a lot of things to me. One, she has grown up and matured a lot. her last CD This Woman had a lot of excellent songs on it. two, she is starting to write her own music. her new CD is all songs that have been written or cowritten by LeAnn. Three. she is in charge of her own career. she directs her own videos, decides what songs will eb released etc. Carrie Underwood just won a talent competion and people threw themselves at her. Dont get me wrong, Carrie has some excellent stuff, but she did not have to work as hard as most singers in Nashville, who wait tables and live in dirt apartments before making a record deal. and then they have to hope they have a big hit. Carrie never went throught that, though LeAnn didnt as much as others stars either-since she got her song when she was 14. so, LeAnn for now and probably forever. Cannot wait for her new CD!

I've always been a LeAnn Rimes fan from the time she burst onto the music scene back in 1996. But Carrie Underwood is showing people that she's more than just a former American Idol finalist. Time will tell how great Carrie Underwood can really be. Right now it's hard to choose.

Well Leann Rimes can sing Country music. I know she is doing a lot of pop lately, but she has shown before she can sing Country as well. Also take her out of videos and I think she looks better. Now if you go by her looks in her videos I wonder about her most of the time. On the other hand I'm pretty sure she is married so hmm if it was dating then I'd have to pick Carrie Underwood by default lol.

Carrie Underwood. Leann Rimes is a hack. If it wasn't for Blue coming out when she was a kid she would be just another struggling artist trying to make it in the business.

Carrie Underwood--she's a great singer and she is very talented. She did a great job on American Idol and she proved to America she can sing. Carrie Underwood had become a country superstar, she has alot of fans that love to hear her sing and she has a lot of young fans that look up to her.

Um...i agree w/ forbes on this one....Leann is the better right now...she has come into her own! She knows what her style is! She proved her voice at 14 and she is still showing that same talent today! I like Carrie and was rooting for her on American Idol, but right now it all seems to have gone to her head! Yes, she has wonderful talent, but right now all of it will be lost if she doesnt come back down to earth!
