There are a number of points here:
1 What on earth has it got to do with the Government. What do you expect them to do?
2 How do you know what is going on behind the scenes regarding the search for her. If there are any leads the police may not want these making public in case the culprits are alerted.
3 Obviously no one except the people involved in her disappearance know where she is otherwise she would have been found by now.

At the end of the day - I know its been said before - but it's the parents fault. If they hadn't have left the children to go out then this wouldn't have happened and they are going to have to live with that for the rest of their lives. As for Maddie still being alive - I pray to god that she's still alive but I can't see it. Maddie's parents should be made to take some responsibility for their actions - you can bet that if they'd have been Joe Bloggs public and not a doctor and cardiologist that social services would have been involved already.

Just a big long (gettin boring) mystery. Parents don't appear to have shed a tear. All you ever hear is travelling afar, funds, lawyers, yellow ribbons, etc etc. Get Millets to supply a pair or two of good walking boots and head out into Prai du Luz and start the real search. Believe it or not its amazing what locals really know about the place where they live.

its pathetic how once they ralise they r out of the spotlight, something comes up, some hope, and then it leads to nothing. They were in the news the other day for travelling to America for a course on missing children or summink!!! Thats not searching for your baby!!!
Stop frolicking aruond in these foreign countries and get home and go back to work, stop spending everyones sympathy money!

No one except the kidnapper has a clue. I am thinking that this child can not be still alive. It's all very sad.

What are the government supposed to do? Spend millions searching for 1 little girl, or use that money to support the NHS, or the Police.

It's unfortunate, but I think it's time to realise that that poor little girl, probably isn't going to be coming home. It's not that no-one cares, it's just that the odds of finding her alive are so slim, is it really worth throwing money and resource continuing a futile search?

Sorry as I am about Madeleine I think that, if the Government has got any spare cash, it should go to flood relief.
