My life is easier, but more complex.
10 years ago, I didn't have so many ways for people to reach me or to demand some of my time.
10 years ago, I was ignorant of what 9/11 would do to my own personal world - I lost 6 friends that day to the actions of terrorism.
10 years ago, I did not know how wonderful it would be to have a grandson and a granddaughter.
10 years ago, I didn't have many of the conveniences that I have today.
Easier, but more complex (not more difficult).

Life becomes more difficult as you get older. Your health becomes primary in worries. You are retired and if you have not planned on living as long as you have, you have less income and are restricted in your life style, you get weaker and cannot do the things you want to do or go where you would like to. Customs change and it is hard to understand the culture of young people.

Harder. 10 years ago I was in high school and all I had to worry about was going to school. Now I have to pay rent, car payments, work 60 hrs a week and try to balance a social life so I can meet a mate and reproduce for society. It is very stressful.

It's harder today.
Regardless of any political party, the life of today is indeed more challenging : higher housing interest rates, housing is way higher, gas, food... But you've got to deal with it, it's not that bad

it's gotten easier, but then again, I'm 10 years older and my financial situation has improved. other than that it's about the same

Everything's been made too easy around here. People can choose to remain stupid their entire lives, and just blame all their faults on everybody else.
