The death occured in 1989 and I lost the old death certificate wehn moving across various places. Now I need a fresh death certificate. How can I get that? What is the procedure?

The death occured in 1989 and I lost the old death certificate wehn moving across various places. Now I need a fresh death certificate. How can I get that? What is the procedure?

I stay in India, Andhra Pradesh state and Guntur District.

THE REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS ACT, 1969. clearly provides in section 17 Search of births and deaths register – (1) Subject to any rules made in this behalf by the Sate Government, including rules relating to the payment of fees and postal charges, any person may –
(a) cause a search to be made by the Registrar for any entry in a register of births and deaths; and
(b) obtain an extract from such register relating to any birth or death;
Provided that no extract relating to any death, issued to any person, shall disclose the particulars regarding the cause of death as entered in the register.
(2) All extracts given under this section shall be certified by the Registrar or any other officer authorized by the State Government to give such extracts as provided in section 76 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (1 of 1872), and shall be admissible in evidence for the purpose of proving the birth or death to which the entry relates.
Just contact the registrar of the district/state of India where this death took place & was originally registered,apply &get certified copies of this death record/certificate & use them as you want.

Go to the court house in the county where the death occured. The county clerk will point you in the right direction.
Birth certificates and death certificates are recorded.
You will have to pay a fee to get a certified copy.

The municipal office at the palce of death would have the records to re issue the certificate .
AP is Computer savy so should not be a problem to handle .

You have to go to the county clerks office and get one for a fee. You can also order one online. I believe you have to go to the county where the death occurred. I dont know what all information you will need to get it but the website should tell you.

You can go to records or your municipal or on line and pay the nine dollars to get it
