The present system of election has got many loopholes. All leaders such as ward member to President of India are to be elected by the public. If any leader is invovled in any scandal, the public should have the right to recall them. So I support the universal adult franchise is justified so there is no political machination of different parties involved in the election.

It is essentially the same as both are representative governments!
And neither are Democracy's by the way. We have a Representative Republic!
I would love for someone to point out a true democracy as it is nothing more than a figment of someones imagination! Would never work!
