I am from Nigelia. I was very surprised when I saw the movie "Live Free or Die Hard" that the US Air Forse jet pilot fired at the motorway in US. Is it fictious or common for American military pilots to fire at home country undoubtedly when they are ordered to?

Fictious. Even though military personnel are taught to follow orders without question, it is different when it is your own country that you are firing on. There would be a lot of hesitation and many cases of insubordination before most Americans would fire on other Americans.

It isn't really realistic. The fact that the pilot shot on home country was because he was trying to prevent a bigger threat. I have never heard that happening on television but I have heard that "if needed" they will use Air Force pilots to fire at a threat in the air.
