I am not sure if it can kill but it sure can cause permanent damage to your brain and make you an addict. The pain killers numb the brain and too much of it will surely cause an irreversable damage to the brain.

Pain Killers are very dangerous. Even more so if they are mixed with Tylenol or Motrin. Tylenol causes liver damage and eventual failure which a very slow painful way to go. Advil or Motrin cause kidney failure eventually backing fluid into the lungs and heart you can essentially suffocate. Narcotics themselves aren't bad, but if you do overdose on them they react on narcotic receptors in the lungs causing the diaphragm to stop working. Overdoses can be treated but the damage caused by Tylenol or Motrin can't be reversed. We see it all the time with people not really wanting to kill themselves and just take a hand full of Tylenol or Motrin thinking we can just fix it. We have to tell them that there is nothing we can do and the damage has already been done. If you are taking a prescription, follow the directions the doctor gave you. If the medication isn't taking the pain away call back and let the doctor know, and different medication may work.

Absolutely an overdose of painkillers can kill you! An overdose of narcotic painkillers kill you by shutting down your lungs and stopping your breathing. They can also stop your heart.

What do you think? Why do yo ask a question when you already knows the answer. In the first place why do you wanna take it, unless it's a must for you. It's only a temp. relief of your sufferring, it doesn't cure your situation. Too much of it will cause you to loose your memories, retard your reflexes and others. Because pain killer affects your nervous system and sensing organs, so toomuch of it will numb your system and becomes ineffective. Try overcoming your pain with some other methods instead.

I have seen many patients who have died from it. Some quickly, byut most of them a long drawn out painful death. Pain killers are metabolized by the liver. Usually overdosing if it does not kill you instantly will damage your liver irreparably. This is one of the most painful ways to die. Avoid death anyway that you can, but especially overdosing on medicine.

If you take too much of a painkiller it can cause your kidneys or liver to go into failure...trying to process the toxins out of your blood stream. Sometimes.....it can cause your brain to completely shut down.....
IF you are asking because you are feeling down...please reach out for help....
