Your computer has a Smitfraud infection.
The standard tool to remove this pest is SmitfraudFix. The full removal procedure and the free removal tool is here:
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php
Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG, Norton, or Spybot S & D cannot remove it.
Good luck.

If you mean security alert in taskbar
its been common last few months
NO PROGRAM WILL REMOVE IT FOR YOU
despite what others will say here downloading
software or running scans wont get rid of your problem
You need to open C:\Windows\System32
View as details
Sort by Last Accessed (descending date)
Start at top of list of files
MOUSEOVER all the dll files
you are looking for a DLL file that has NO DATA in the mouseover box
should be a fairly new file maybe 3-4 days older than first alert
the file will have an odd random name like pjgerpk.dll
thats just an example the name will look random
once you have the good candidate for the loader
OPEN regedit
thats START>RUN> type in regedit
Form here use EDIT/FIND type in the file name
from System32 directory you found
when the search stops press DELETE
then press F3 make sure search completes
thru whole registry
Now Reboot PC to unregister the DLL from memory
go back to C:\Windows\System32 DELETE the file
that should do it for ya

This is how some work so its probably worth a go. does it still come up when not connected to the internet?
If not it might be stored on your computer, look at the text in the address bar of the "homepage thing", make note of the last word in the text, each word is separated by a "/"
now delete the last word off the text and copy it.
Open up "my computer" and copy the text into this address bar then click enter, now look for a file in the location where you are which has the same name as the last word which you deleted. if you find it delete it

Well. What do you expect? You ARE using a Nortan product. Remove it, and then download a free version of AVG- Free edition.
www.girsoft.com << LINK TO AVG's SITE
Install, update and scan with AVG. If that doesn't work, think about scanning in 'safe mode'. Google that if you don't know how to get to it. ==]
