Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that oftentimes when the Mariners lose, the other team scores a run or two first, then the M's come from behind to take the lead, but lose it (seemingly) every time?

And who said I was talking about after the 6th inning? No, I'm not. I'm saying at any point in the game they are often behind, then ahead, then behind. This could happen after 2 innings, not 6. Who said anything about that?

No it's not just you, you hit it right on the money that's one of the many mystery Mariner riddles. I have been a Mariners fan for a long time and I have always wondered that very same thing.

Back in the 80's, when the M's sucked, you could at least notice the occasional all star. Now, I do not even recognize a name or face on the team. 20 games below 500 is the new standard, and the mismanagement of the team is ghastly. One wonders how such a great team and atmosphere was destroyed in Seattle. They must still be making money or something, otherwise you would think there would have been a house cleaning by now. You should see how sheepish the commercials are to promote them, its so half hearted you can feel their guilt for ripping off the season ticket holders.

Seattle is obviously your team and you pay close attention to all of their games. Actually, if you looked just as closely at most other teams you will see just about the same thing. There is a lot of parody in MLB and you see a lot of close games that are decided by a run or two, and I can assure you that the Mariners are not the only team losing close games with several lead changes.

What are you talking about??

Yes. It is just you. Seattle is 43-2 when leading after 6 innings. Only Boston (49-2) is better. Their stellar bullpen and late-inning success is the the primary reason for their success this year.

Wouldn't have even gotten close to winning if Gagne didn't given up those hits! Yes, I'm a Texas girl. But my boyfriend is a Mariners fan I've warmed up to the team & began to like them more then I used to. But yeah..I've noticed what you have!
