Events that occur in life are nothing more than pure coincidence and happenstance, some more uncommon and farfetched than others. Not everything happens for a reason. Only that which was based upon logical or illogical thought, will happen for a reason.

Example: I noticed that my car brakes sounded a bit weird. I decided to tweak them a bit to fix them, instead of taking it to a mechanic. As a result, my brakes failed on me due to my lack of auto-mechanic knowledge.

However, mere coincidences and uncommon events that occur seem to be based more on feelings, which lead many people to believe that it "happened for a reason". Without any kind of intellectual thought backing it, these events in life are deemed as coincidences, and have various meanings based on the person.

Example: A person's grandmother recently passed away. Before she did, the grandmother wished good fortune on her grandchild. A few weeks later, the grandchild wins the lottery. That grandchild would believe it happened for a reason: because the grandmother wished it to be so.

Take the path of logic, or take the path of faith. Your call.

There only two reasons things happen. The first is Cause and Effect, and the second is probability. Aside from that, no, things do not happen for a reason. Take it from a guy that has had more brushes with death than you can imagine - just because you are still breathing is certainly not a reason you are still here.

I truly do believe that everything is interconnected, humans, animals, etc, is the life energy that has us thus, so it makes sense to me that everything that happens is for a reason, is another matter, whether we see the reason or not. :)

yes, there is a reason for everything happened. you wont know it now, but when you face the situation then you will understand..
Eg: when you fail in your first love... you will became more stronger and understand better opposite gender's behavior.
