What are the prospects of the Indian Cricket Team? Should Sachin retire? Dhoni become captain? What abt Yuvi?

1. Seniors like Dravid, Ganguly and Tendulkar should now more than ever start playing a mentoring role

2. These 3 seniors should not hanker about who among the 3 will become a captain as all 3 will retire in 2 to 3 years time.

3. The young blood like Yuvraj and and Dhoni, both of whom have excellent cricketing brains, should be given more responsibility and should be tested in both forms of cricket again and again. Both should be baptised by fire!

4. Both Yuvraj and Dhoni should be told categorically that they are being groomed as the future Captain and Vice-captain and the selection will be done based on their temperament, aggressiveness, ability to LEAD and WIN .... and their form in both forms of cricket.

5. After the 3 big-wigs retire, the young players will look at Yuvraj and Dhoni for inspiration and so both of them should realise what lies ahead for them in their careers.

Nothing to be really concerned about. The teams prospect remains the same as it was before. People still talk of Sachin playing when he was 18 ,25 and 30. He is 34 now. Ganguly is running on 35 hitting 36 sames goes to dravid. Laxman is 33.
Wake up let them make way for the youngsters.
As far as captaincy is concerned the best person for the job is Mohammed Kaif. Nothing else other than that he will lead by example. Yuvraj has never led any side and it is hard to see him being responsible, Dhoni is not captaincy material due to techincal limitations.

Rahul is doing well.But considering the fact that all the three seniors will retire in quick succession either Dhoni or yuv should become the captain even when the seniors are playing, the seniors should guide the youngster.

Both are doing well and they are equally talented.Taking temperament into account Dhoni should be the captain and Yuv should b vice-captain.

Its a tough question, the team is playing unpredictable cricket.Bowling looks good one day, really bad another day,batting always falters at key moments.Application and focus is clearly missing.
Sachin still has some cricket left in him, not sure if we have anybody to replace sachin in Indian team.I think this will be a make or break series for sachin,He failed in first test, has to prove himself in second and third tests.

Dhoni is still raw to be a captain.He has to establish himself as a good middle order batsman in test levels.Its also High time Yuvraj starts playing test cricket at expense of Ganguly or Laxman.

i think dravid is perfect for captinacy, but when he retires then yuvraj singh should take over since he is an allrounder.
