I am planting some seeds, and as they have germinated they are growing very tall and thin. How would I make them thicker, and grow denser as opposed to just upwards? I read about pruning and transplanting but I am not sure what bits to cut, and when to move the plant. Any advice much needed!!

The seedlings need plenty of light so as not to grow tall and straggly. When there are true leaves you need to water them well and transplant each singly into more space - usually a single pot with good compost. Ensure they are still getting full light.
When transplanting, take care not to hold by anything but the leaf as you can damaage the stem and roots. Make a hole with a stick (pencil will do) and drop the young seedling into it. Water well to moisten but not drench.
They will soon pick up and look strong and healthy provided the compost is good.

Use alot of compost and make sure the seedlings are in a good area for sun, but also a good area with plenting of drainage for the off run of water. Dont over water them, and dont let them burn in the hot sun.
Good Luck

Spindly seedlings aren't getting enough light.

Place them directly in the sun to grow strong, and feed them bone meal
