I can say without bias, that I think it should go to Miami (I'm from the West Coast) and I think they just crank out the most good linebackers on a regular basis. Some examples: Jonathan Vilma (NYJ), DJ Williams (DEN), and you've probably heard of a guy named Ray Lewis (BAL).

Penn State should go to Penn State. They have a long legacy of great NFL linebackers. USC has some good ones recently. But Penn State has been producing them for a very long time. They still are producing them also (Paul Posluzny, Dan O'Conner who I think will be a great pro prospect). And about the answer that says that USC runs a 3-4 and Penn State usually runs only three linebackers is irrelevant because most NFL outside linebackers in the NFL played defensive end in college. There therefore Penn State puts 5 possible NFL linebackers on the field at a time.

Penn State still has the reputation for putting top linebackers into the NFL. USC is already Tailbacker U for a similar reason.

In the last ten years Penn State has had LaVar Arrington, Quentin Caver (who was a beast in college before bombing out in the pros), Paul Posluzny (who has won awards for the best college linebacker and the best college defensive player), and currently Dan O'Conner.
While the offense is not always up to par there, the defense rarely has a bad year, mostly due to their linebacking core.
Keep the Linebacker U title where it has been and belongs - Penn State.

USC because they use a 3-4 setup with 4 linebackers, while PSU usually sticks to the Nickel defense, and has only produced 1 tough linebacker in 10 years. They've produced a couple of linemen though. USC wins this one.

Miami has 8

PSU has 3 (if you count Arrington injured/unsigned)

PSU has to win the nickname. When you hear PSU you think of a dominate defense. When you hear USC you think of a dominate offense. Since USC has a top prospect running back from louisianna considering their school. Plus the Heisman winner Reggie Bush went to USC along with Matt Leinart.
