Sure he will. I believe that with his experience and the way he plays the game will inspire the younger ballers and possibly give them an instinct too. Face it, until every guy on that court wants to win and will do whatever it takes to get the W, this dream team is going NOWHERE. Kobe has this mentality in every second of every game he's played. He realizes that one's will to win can take you further in some instances than your talent will, perhaps. For MANY years, this team's been loaded with talent, but not a sense of instinctual will to win. Kobe's competitive nature, along with his mentality, and the skills he brings to the court will hopefully get this group of guys over the bubble, readily preparing them to compete at a championship level at all times. This mentality he brings has raised his own game to new heights every season, so these guys could only be beneficiaries. I am sure they will thank him for what he brought when we've won the gold...

I think the the US will win but not all because of Kobe, look at all the talent on that team, is Dream Team II. Intl rules don't matter is still the same concept put the ball in the basket so if they loose that is a lame excuse to use.

Yes, Kobe will lead them to Gold. But not just Kobe himself. We have much better team this year. We got veterans, great shooters, athletic defenders and interior D. This may be the best team second to the Dream Team '92. This current team is loaded with talent. Durant, Oden, Kobe, Kidd, Billups, Deron, Amare, Wade, Bron, Melo, Howard, Bosh...

YES, he can but be sure his teammates or say his supporting casts are not all NBA All-Star caliber type of players. It got to be composed of superstars, role-players, outside shooters and defensive stoppers.
Here's my list of Kobe's casts:
PG - Kidd, Billups and Hinrich (a team needs a 3rd point guard, he can also a play little 2 & he is the best perimeter defender they got right now)
SG- Mike Miller (his outside shooting), (Kobe of course is the starting 2)
SF - Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James (he can start at 4 spot) & Shane Battier (for his defense, can defend other team's 2, 3 & 4)
PF - Elton Brand (he can score down low), Amare Stoudamire (his athleticism) *if Brand is not available, Carlos Boozer is in. (got inside toughness)
C - Dwight Howard, Tyson Chandler (his defense, shot-blocking & rebounding)

I choose Miller over Redd coz he is bigger even though they got both range and the Team needs white player for luck (look at the 1984 Olympic Team with so many white role-players in that team, 5 in all)
Oden and Durant shall give way to more seasoned team mates. They got the 2010 FIBA World and 2012 Olympics to look up to.
Deron Williams can be tap for next US Team (Kidd & Billups are getting older) and they got lots of point guard here in this team.
Chris Bosh is not suited for international play. He can be easily push around by bigger, more physical power forwards.
Reddick needs more seasoning and he can sub for Miller or Redd if needs arises.

the rules are not too much different...besides the 3 point line is closer in... kobe is the mid range jumper king...he is the clutch player they need to get that gold medal...hopefully they don't give the ball to LeBRICK James at the end of the game...i think thats 3 games in a row hes missed the last shot terribly...i think that he has a good mindset to put the TEAM back in TEAM USA

No. Adam Morrison on the otherhand could have. Kobe could have crowded the court docket much extra. they had adequate superstars already. They mandatory a guy that would not want the ball to be stable. they had protection, they mandatory a snatch scorer that in basic terms loves the interest.

Of course he will. Hes the best. Come on, the Blue team was down 9 points with 2 minutes to go. And then they win thanks to Kobe. He can score WHEN EVER he wants. We will win the gold!
