Place a K&N filter and some flexible ducting for cool air is a good way to start.

Upgrade your plugs to iridium plugs.

Bolt in some strut bars and larger rear sway bar to increase stablility and confidence during cornering.

Replace stock brake pads with something more agressive and switch to steel braided brake lines.

Look into different exhaust system and or mufflers.

Search on Internet to see what people are saying about different mufflers.

Not all exhaust system / muffler that free up horse power are noisy.

Good Luck.

Cheap wise. Go wtih a K&N Air Filter or a Cold Air/ Ram intake. Both are inexpensive and give you some extra HP

sell it and get a better choice to start off with that is more mod-friendly especially since youre looking for performance and power that isnt too expensive.
