YES!! But they can't. They'll take to big of a cap hit, alot of the season ticket sales are based on Vick being in Atlanta(they never sold games out until Vick), and it will cause a rift in the locker room if they do.
I do think its great that the commissioner told him not to report to camp. That's a step in the right direction!!!
As far as the innocent until proven guilty crowd, no one said put him in jail without a trial! In this country you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The question was about his employer-employee relationship not his court case!!

Salary cap.
If they cut him then all the signing bonus hits this season.
If he, for whatever reason, does not report for games, then he is in breach of contract and they can get money back and it is not charged against the cap in just 1 year. Whether that reason is smoking pot or sitting in prison is irrelevant.

No, the Falcons shouldn't tear up Vick's contract and release him because in this country, unlike others, you are "Innocent until Proven Guilty!" Does that mean we do it in every case, "willy nilly?" I don't think so~our American justice system isn't built this way!
Vick, on the other hand, should take a year off, go to court and get this behind him as soon as possible. By doing this, he would then thwart the humaniacs, critics and sponsors from literally "Ripping Him To Pieces."
And if he's found not guilty as I predict he will be when this is overwith, he can get on with his life in professional sports, and possibly salvage his career.

no,because no NFL player is publicly "perfect". If you check all the top NFL quarterbacks, there is something wrong that no one likes.Instead of releasing him, have him donate 40% of his salary to peta if found guilty.make him work for the mistake he has made instead of releasing him.

first of all noone has any solid evidence that vick even had anything to do with that because if they were sure vick did it they wouldnt have also arrested his cousins so stop trying to get vick kicked out of the nfl when hes the only quarterback you want to watch

They shouldn't because he is excitement and he fills the seats. NFL teams are about making money and Vick makes big time money for the Falcons organization.
