dont you think that yuvraj singh should have played in the series???

i would say that he, vvs laxman, and ms dhoni are very good players who can turn around a game.

but why did they select players that are obviously worse than yuvraj?

take dinesh karthik and wasim jaffer, for example. Each had a half century in one innings, but in the other innings, they collapsed. yuvraj is a consistint player who gets you a solid 40 runs or more every innings.

also, about rp singh

we all know he is a great bowler and just got a five wicket haul. he can swing the ball back in, and get the lbw, clean bowl, or the play down.

but don't you think he is a batsmen too? i know, this is a little off, but remember:

vs. sussex: solid forty runs, and leading scorer
vs. england(first innings): only 17 runs but hit some solid shots
vs. england(second innings): only 2 runs, but was trying to play some good shots

do you agree with me?

Only 4 bagtsmen can be accommodated in the middle order when India are playing with 6 batsmen. Yuvaraj Singh cannot be taken as an opening batsman. Hence if he has to be accommodated in the moiddle order, they have to drop either Tendulkar, Ganguly or Laxman. Since these 3 players are considered to be more experienced, team management continue with them.

As far as R.P. Singh is concerned, he should be continued with, so that he can gain experience and perform better in future.

i agree with u
yuvraj is a consistant player and but i don't think rpsingh is a batsmen because he comes at the down of Indian scorecard and he is a bowler.we cant except him to make 30 or 40 runs.the major score has to be done by the top order.Talking about yuvraj he is not a new player and so maybe the selection people wanted new players.(but they could remove sachin also)
they cannot remove him because he also is a good player and you can expect runs from him whereas yuvraj is being in a bad form from quite sometime and needs a brake and due to continuous losing of India they (indian team)need new players

give him a brake.................

about Yuvraj : he must want to get chance in this series but its selectors decision as he is consistance in his performance and make some good runs for india but he is also very good attcking player and his requirement for ODIs and 20-20 cricket is more so keeping it in mind not to add more stretch selectors may drop him from series and waiting for his turn for ODIs.
About RP singh: his place is secure in the team when he bowls well rather than doing 20-40 odd run [ though it seem to be important like in this series as top and middle order not performing well] so rather going for a all rounder in him go for to develop quality bowler in him.

tep yuvraj much better than old rahul & sachin who dwell in the oast glory. These seniors(oldies) must be aware that Worthy Youngsters are sitting back for want of Opportunities.

The seniors must be aware that worthy youngsters are sitting back for want of opportunities.
If they are unable to deliver for the cause India they must give way to them at the end of the series.
