Sure I can. Charles Dickens was a human being. And as such, he must have had some "less than wholesome" aspects of his personality. A darker side. And a sexual side. We all do. And as an artist, I'm sure some of that was reflected in his work.
Example: A couple of months ago in San Francisco, I saw an exhibit of drawings and paintings by Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss). Let's just say there were some rather mature themes depicted. And rendered in the classic Dr. Seuss style. Once you've seen that, you're no longer as easily shocked by some mainstream artists' more "uncharacteristic" work!

Yes, I can. Lots of writers have written things that were for themselves alone, or for some close friend. In Dickens' time, that would be something of a pornographic nature, although it would probably not seem so bad by today's standards.

Yikes!! I just popped over here to see what's up since I've been so busy lately and I see our buddy is gone again!! Any idea if he has a new identity yet? That's the main reason I don't come on here very often anymore...I am getting so tired of the good people getting suspended and the trolls sticking around.
