it's the fault of poor training. #1 make the customer feel that they got value for their money. Ie: fast good food, clean dinning areas, SMILING helpfull people.
But at minnimum wages. what do you expect?
The real person to blame is you for not telling the store manager how you feel and that you won't come back UNLESS it is cleaner, better.
USE youir money wiselly.
Or better yet save some money and cook at home, healthy cheaper, but NOT nessarly cleaner.

Well the burger king i work at, it is very clean. We do not cook our hamburgers in the microwave, they go through the broiler, and we put them in the mic after we make them, to make sure there hot for the customers. Honestly i do like mcdonalds better, but i think there isnt a major difference between the two restaraunts. I just think its the manager who's running the restaraunt.

I used to love burger king but the one in my home town, I will only go to in an emergency. It is dirty most of the time and the food just isn't as good.
I have noticed help wanted signs all over town so maybe they just can't get enough people. Just a guess

eazy -more money, moe money, mo money just like every word lost its letter thats how they lost there respect you cant blame them be4 you had 30year olds running the show now you have 16-20year olds people that are more worried about a dollar and to get by other than to realize that those who walk through the door are the ones paying there pay check see they feel that its all about burgers and 4get the client but what about if the client 4get what will happen to the burgers.

I agree with the other posters. In the 70s they were great. I used to go there alot. Dont know what they do now, but the birgers arent as good. Burgers used to be nice and thick, lotsa meat, but now I think they are skimpy, so different, Like the onion rings though............

Burger King in the 70's was awesome. Our local franchise just closed down last week. I have to say I am glad. I don't think they grilled them at all. The stench was awful - it permeated the neighborhood.

I don't think they are franchised anymore. At least not in my area. In the last couple of years all but one has shut down in my town. They just keep getting grosser. I love the food, but I go drive-thru because it is very truck stop-esque. =)
