enable the numbers, so as, be: a, b, c, d c/b = b/a c = b + 6 d = c + 6 a = d From the third and fourth equations: a = c + 6 c = a - 6 exchange that into the 2d equation: a - 6 = b + 6 a = b + 6 + 6 a = b + 12 exchange that and the 2d equation into the 1st equation: (b + 6)/b = b/(b + 12) (b + 6)(b + 12) = b^2 b^2 + 12b + 6b + seventy two = b^2 18b = -seventy two b = -seventy two/18 b = -4 a = -4 + 12 a = 8 c = -4 + 6 c = 2 d = 8 The numbers are: 8, -4, 2, 8
