Darling, I would run a spell check before you put a question on here again. The truth is most of the facts on Fahrenheit 9/11 were, in fact, fabricated. What he doesn't say is the President has given more humanitarian aid to countries like Africa than any two other Presidents combined. That aid goes to feed dying children, to educate them so they have a chance at a better life, and to eradicate diseases that kill millions of children every year. Can you truly say you don't respect that?

Sometimes 'facts' can be a matter of opinion, but overall Moore's take on F-9/11 was revealing as was Sicko. He's brought up subjects that need full on national discussion...always a good way to get to the bottom of any question. The Bush Junta, the right wing talk show bozos and FOX have chosen to attack Moore, instead of dealing with the questions posed. Ad hominum, red herring and strawman arguments don't change the facts. Let's be real....this country got by for decades with a purely private health INSURANCE system. But that was then and this is now. Now employer based health INSURANCE is going the way of the buffalo...we need to replace it with a Universal Health INSURANCE SYSTEM. The so-called 'right' always calls this a change in the HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. Not even close...the CARE system will remain the same...the difference is that all American will have HEALTH iNSURANCE. Moore has pointed this out....so of course he's been attacked.

You might want to start by spelling Michael Moore's name correctly.
Moore is a propagandist. Bush is a politician. There's not much of a difference these days.
Did you tell your friend that Moore took the best parts of the other healthcare systems and compared them to the worst parts of the US healthcare system?
Did you tell him that Moore searched high and low to find people who were actually getting treatment?
Did you mention that in Canada you can't buy your own health coverage if you want to? Or that people come to the US to get necessary surgeries because the Canadian government won't provide them early enough to save their lives?
Did you inform your friend that two film makers set out to make a film praising Moore, but changed their stance after discovering that Moore is evasive and hypocritical, a trait he admonishes others of exhibiting?
I'm guessing not.

The strongest argument is just what the movie is about and that's health care it is no lie that too many Americans are without it. I can tell you whereas many people born here in the U.S. are less entitled to medical care compared to those who are here illegally and why do I know this, I know because I issued medical services for 35yrs and it's true and if most Americans really knew what the real deal was they would start marching instead of saying I'll take the bill!
Your right and your boyfriend is still in la la land as our so called president is representing everyone except those that he's being paid by that the American people!

This could be fun if you leave emotion at the door. I have a good friend who is pretty liberal, Im conservative. We have great talks!
Try renting both Fahrenheit 911 and Farenhype 911. Keep an open mind to both.
I cant help you with Moore, personally I loathe the man from the depths of my soul. Have fun with it!

Have to say I agree with RCrumb!! We all need to get active. ya know-back in the day if we disagreed with what was going on there were protests upon protests. You can't sit back and complain about the jerk and expect change. You have to get active. As for the gas prices-----give me a break!! He's been an oilman for yrs. And Chenney owns haliburton--gas and oil fields!! Till they're out of there---don't expect a break anytime soon.

I saw a special on the movie and the facts were manipulated. Especially quotes. He chopped them up and just took some parts and left out all of the rest. That's not cool.

How can anybody with half a brain defend Micheal Moore? His brand of yellow journalism is the worst kind of pandering you can do. He ambushes the people he interviews with questions like "Have you stopped beating your wife?"
what ever you think of Bush how can you support Moore?

You can't. Michael Moore is a documented liar. The only way you could support him is by lying yourself.
Unless of course you turned it into argument on who could eat the most hamburgers... then he might have a chance.
