Oh Georgie, why you getting all these little Yankee tikes all in an uproar. You know they don't get the adult "tongue and cheek" humor of yours!! hehe... I love it when you get them all aggravated and annoyed! It's so easy these days!

IF the yankees do make it to the playoffs. ESPN would never get off there ..... People will forget about the Astros comebacks 2004 2005 and 2006 remeber the astros in 2005 were 15 games below .500 and made it to the world series. in 2006 the stros were 9 games out of first place with 12 games left and almost made it to the playoffs

Very sweet. With the way the Yankees been hitting lately we all know that are going to cool off and then it get even lower. The Red Sox will not go on a long losing streak with the starters they have so that will make it even lower. Maybe when the Red Sox win the division then the Yankee fans will realize that someone other the Yankees can win the division and world series.

its so sweet that i just rotted a molar....
seriously.. if anyone thinks the red sox will not win at least 29 more games... that would give them 89 wins.. theyre better than 89 wins this year... the yankees will lose at least 74... that would be 88 wins...aaaah.. im not sure if the yankees are capable of 88 wins this year... and thats supposing the red sox only win 89... its looking bleak for the yankees already and its not even august 1 yet...imagine how the whitesux must feel right now...their number is 49... hey i just thought of something.. the yankees are only 8 ahead of last place chicago??? they payrolls, the fans, the shame....

The Yanks are now just 5.5 games back for the Wild Card. That isn't a big margin at all. they might not win the division, but they can still be playoff bound. It seems like wildcards have won a decent amount of rings lately.

i'd rather not see the yanks in the playoffs but 57 is a little high to be talking about magic numbers, especially when the team is on a crazy hot streak and boston is losing to teams like k.c.
usually magic number conversations aren't in double digits.

Every game the Stinkees lose makes me sleep better at night. Fans are getting excited due to the fact they are killing the bottom feeders of the AL, but Boston is holding their own. If they can keep a decent lead after this Yankee "miracle" schedule of 27 games, their all set.
I wonder how much Steinbrenner paid the schedule makers???

It'd be a whole hell of a lot sweeter if the number was 56 and the Royals had sole possesion of 4th place tomorrow morning.

I like that you hate the Yankees, but how can you be the #1 yankee hater when you have a Detroit tiger logo as your picture?

you are pathetic. so it is 57. woop de doo. i just peed my pants again. you need to relax and realize there is still 63 games left and the yankees still have a chance. they have been playing well.
also, I see why you are excited now. you learned in your 3rd grade class today what a magic # is so now you can bully those lowly 2nd graders that don't know what it is.
