So, i have all the wmvs in a folder, I am looking to transfer them to a DVD, while maintaining them in WMV format. Now, the reason is because i have very small amount of disk space left, and i need to collect these files onto a DVD (which can hold a lOT more space than a CD). The problem is that My ol' laptop is so old that it doesn't have DVD -RW ...=O. So i was thinking, i could go to my aunts house and use her computer, but, the only way i could think of moving mass files is by using a host such as rapidshare, or mega upload, somethin like that. First of all, how long would it take to transfer all these files, second, do you need to pay to be able to upload files. Third, would it let me upload like, 8 gigs ?
ANY suggestions are welcome. Thanks!!!!!!

Get a USB flash drive, move the files to that, and then take them to your Aunties house, download them, and then burn them to a CD. You might have to make a couple of trips, or borrow some more flash drives, but to upload 8G, even on a broadband connection will take you many hours to do. Then you have to turn around and download that, which won't take as long as the upload, but will still take a bit.

Upload 8G of files, to download again and butn to DVD ?

Please be serious, simply BUY an ext DVDRW or fit an internal to your PC. If you absolutely MUST move them to another PC, you need a physical means to do it. BTW a DVD only folds about 5-6 CDs worth of data, so the hours spent moving the files MIGHT NOT be a goot move.

Alternatively, invest in an external harddrive for extra storage and for moving files.
