ok, i had the same question and here is what you have to know...
what a smokey eye is, is a natural eyeshadow all over from eyelash crease to eyebrow crease. it is usually close to a skin tone or very light. then you take a thin eyeliner brush and you use a dark type of eyeshadow to line your eye on the top, and lightly on the bottom. then you take your main color with a medium size brush and you brush upward from your eyelash crease(eyeshadow goes over eyeliner eyeshadow) to your eyeball crease(about middle of your eye. After all that just add some brown or black mascara to your top and a little to the bottum, and your done!!you can also somtimes use a q-tip to smudge it a little. Doing exactly so you will create the perfect smokey eye look and you will be able to use any color palette you want, as long as theres a light medium and dark color.

a smokey eye just means it's well blended. do a darker color on the lid and in the crease. blend a lighter color near the brow. you can use a dark eyeliner and add some super mascara! if you want to go the extra mile, try some fake lashes. they're all the rage now. one of my favorite websites for make up is www.sephora.com. You can actually buy a set of mineral eyeshadows called The Smokey Eye by Bare Escentuals.

You will come across 100's of videos which actually teaches u how to get different kinds of smokey eyes. That's how i learnt. n yes, u need a lot of practice cuz u dont wanna end up looking like a Panda.

I am not 100% sure...but I asttempted to do it on my friend yesterday. I put kind of a brownish color near the lashes. then on top of that, a misty blue. then I rubbed a lighter blue on top. i blended it all so it looked nice. DON'T use a ton of shadow- the key is for it to enhance your eyes, not overpower them. I am not really sure if these are the colors to use, but I used tehm, and it looked AWESOME.

Use prestige jet black eyeliner on the inside of your eyes then use for underneath use covergirl smoky eyeliner. Just use a little bit of black mascara.
