C'mon these people are lying, when something good happens to you or you accomplish something or get recognized you tell someone or everyone ? maybe they dont consider it bragging but in a sense it is, and why not ? if you earned it if you deserve it if you worked for it why not? If the people you are telling are family, friends or young people or just people you are trying to inspire why not? we live in a time when people get recognized for the dumbest things like being blonde and being born rich, Paris Hilton, or negativity all day like coverage on the war, why not say something good? When i have a new young female Marine i give them a lil run down about me and miniorities who use that as an excuse , i even go as far as to let them no ive competed in the CG's Cup, I was in the first group of female Marines to ever attend and complete Jungle Warfare Training, in the cold mountains and Jungle of Camp Gonzalez in Japan, Ive been youth of the yr in MA, and Peer Leader of the Yr twice etc Why not? since when is it not okay- and i brag about my daughter being a cheerleader and boxer, what a mix! im proud of how far weve come and what weve done, we arent cocky we arent shadey we are just good poor people trying to make it ! my daughter isnt conceited, or shallow or a bully child if anything she gets a lil embarrassed i dont gush over her or act like shes a child prodigy but i teach her to be proud and not take for granted what we have today it could not be there tomorrow and we dont introduce ourselves by giving our bio or have a trophy room certificates awards and all are in the closet but why should we hide who we are or that we arent as good as we are what we like or do- everyone brags abit here and there once a while but they lie we tell the truth about where we been and where we going and headed -PS as long as you dont push it lie or do it all the time its allright its okay for me and if yo uare a decent human being you will congratulate that person and be happy for them and not be a jealous jerk
