After reading the book, do you get the feeling that HArry is not an Auror or someone who does that kind of work. It seems to me he is living a simple life. What do you think Harry's and his friends line of work would be 19 years later. Just curious.

I just figured Harry and the rest would be at Hogwarts as teachers or still fighting crime. Even with Voldemort gone there will still be issues.

I think HP would think settling down to family life a bit dull after all of his adventures. I was expecting him to take over as headmaster of Hogwarts...or Minister of Magic.

Not a clue. The only one whose job we know is Neville. And that wasn't too surprising since herbology had always been his best class. Hermione I was a little surprised by as the fact that she doesn't go to Hogwarts in the end clearly suggests she's not teaching at Hogwarts, would have definately figured on her being a teacher of somekind. Harry also seemed likely to be teaching DADA, but he's not as surprising as she was.. Maybe it's because they don't have seven years of schooling, but then Dumbledore did give Hagrid a position as teacher and he had even fewer years as a student the Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

I think he is generally a family man. He didn't finish at Hogwarts, and he destroyed the most evil wizard ever. I think maybe he might have lost the desire to become an auror after seeing the loss of his friends throughout his sevententh year. I almost knew that Neville was going to become a professor though. It just seemed to fit knowing his love of Herbology. Although I almost thought that Professor Sprout was going to die in battle...

Actually I do not know and maybe guessing a job might taint their image. Rowling doesn't leave any clues. But I was sure surprised when Neville became Professor Longbottom of Herbology!

I don't know, I really really wish she would have told us what their professions were? That was dissapointing. I was glad to here Neville was a professor though. I love Neville. He is awesome.

I don't know, and won't try to make any guesses. I love the book as it was.
