My dog recently urined on some of my plants and are starting to die. I don't know the name of the plants, but is there anything I can do to help so they don't die?

The brown spots caused by urine are the result of too much of a good thing, an over concentration of nitrogen, which burns the plant just as too much fertilizer will. So if you see the dog, flood the spot. Even within a few days, a thorough flushing should head off some damage. Hose the plant off and thoroughly water to soil saturation. You are trying to dilute the nitrogen to levels to plant can use.

cut back the dead areas and water to moistness. This will help the plant put all of its energy toward regrowth, rather than trying to "save" the deadened areas.
