Booger Etiquette: If someone has a booger do you tell them?
Is it impolite to tell someone when there's a booger hanging out of their nose, or is it more polite to let them continue on with their day, unaware of this fact?

proper etiquette is to simply hand them a tissue. if they are too dense to take the hint, then let them walk around with the booger...

It is not impolite to make someone aware of a potentially embarrassing situation provided they are in a position to correct the situation at the moment. That said, it is generally not polite to blurt out "Hey, you got a booger!" It is far better to simply pretend that you are removing a booger of your own while using your eyes to indicate to them that they should do the same. A bit of subtlety goes a long way.

I would tell them. I would want someone to tell me instead of letting me walk around with a booger hanging all day.

I don't call it booger etiquette....I call it "a bat in your cave "!!!! when you breath in it disappears and when you breath out it sits there and flutters....just like a bat....I work with the public so when this happens, i tell them that way and give them a tissue or a napkin....then i explain it an we all laugh at it....it happens to everyone and this just takes the embarrassment out of it...Just like when a guy has his zipper down and his junk about ready to be exposed...that's fun too, depending on the guy....

Forget etiquette, I tell people if they have a little something hanging out their nose--I just don't announce it to the entire world. Sometimes, I think it is better to tell the truth, than to let someone just walk around looking a fool.

Ew.. you in all threat could have mentioned some thing to her. in line with threat no longer out loud yet whisper it or some thing so which you will no longer embarrass her in front of all and sundry. i does not prefer to be strolling around with a booger in my nostril. Icky.

It really depends on the following:

1. If you like the person

2. Or if you don't like the person

3 If you know the person

4. Or if you don't know the person

5. Or if you just want a good laugh at the other person's expense! ( ^ _ ^ )

No. If you have a little mirror handy (which I know alot of us don't) you can hand them the mirror and hopefully they will catch it. Or you could always offer a tissue and tell them they need to blow their nose.
