Grasshoppers or locusts? or both? what is the best way to get rid of them?

whatever they are, they are very noisy and live in my trees...which are starting to turn brown (they are evergreens) so thats not good. They sound like an electric buzz of some sort. help?? please??

I think you're talking about cicadas.
They will go away soon.
