You need a crime to impeach. You can't just do it because you feel like it.

Judging by some of these answers, it's obvious our public school system is failing at teaching simple politics. Some of you people are dumber than I think the average democrat voter is. Stop letting the media dictate what you think and get the facts straight. If we pull out of Iraq right now, the Taliban and Al Quada will come in and start massacring thousands and thousands of people. When was the last time the media showed you what the Iraqi people and their leaders have to say? When was the last time you heard the media tell us what a lot of the troops think? Guess what? Those people need us. Go ahead, ask them. That's what they'll tell you. Go ahead. Jump on the "Hate Bush, get out of Iraq" band wagon. Wet your finger and stick it up in the air to see which way the democrats and media will have you thinking. Don't bother to think for yourself and get the real facts. The average American voter is an idiot. Been fooled into believing that we have to get out of Iraq so fast that you are willing to elect people like Hilary or Obama, like they are going to fix everything. Stupid fools!!

We tried to impeach Clinton for lying about getting head. We WILL NOT impeach Bush/Cheney for lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, they chalked it up to bad intelligence. At least Clinton got good dome instead of bad intelligence. I'm just hoping that the next President will be able to speak in an intelligent manner instead stammering like a drunken 5th grader.

No, Congress should impeach the President and Vice President so Nancy Pelosi would become President. Because if Congress removed them both, that is exactly what would happen.
However, Democrats do NOT have the power to remove the President or VP from office. They could pass a bill of Impeachment, and they should, but they could never get rid of President Bush or V.P. Cheney. Learn to like it.
Brian: Oh, sorry to differ, but Congress could impeach the President because they don't like the way he ties his tie. They would have to lie about their reason, but when has lying ever detered a Democrat?

Legally, impeachment cannot be applied to either of them. But, at least, their reign is all most over. Congress needs a good swift kick in the @ZZ because they caused a mess too.As far as Iraq, let them deal with their problems. The Troops need to come home. God Bless Our Troops and their families.

One has nothing to do with the other.
Bush and Cheney should be impeached (put on trial) for the federal laws they have admitted violating. None of those laws involve our occupation of Iraq. They all related to domestic activities.
Whether we spend more time and money (and lives) trying to "fix" Iraq depends on whether we can come up with a rational plan that actually has a reasonably chance of making a different in less than a decade.

in order to impeach the president we need evidence and now we don't have any! why would we want to impeach our president for doing the job they were elected to do? and yes we need to stay in Iraq until the job is done to prevent more attacks in our soil and show the world that we meants business, that is only one of the reasons the other is that we have the resources to assist those that are less fortunate that us. god have given us the resources to assist others ad we should not take them for granted.
