I got my permit at 15 and license at 16 and never took Drivers Ed. I got my license before some of the state changed the law saying you have to have so many hours before getting your license. So yes you can do that as long as you get all your hours in.

No to the drivers ed at school- its not necessary but it does lower your insurance. You have to get the driver's manual before you take the permit test when your 15- its easy to pass....I didnt even study. A year after that date you get your license so yes...when your 16 but not on your b-day. Heres a hint- the day you turn 15 try to get an appointment so you can get your license on your b-day or a date around it.

I assume it all depends on where you are. I'm not American, so I have no idea how it works there. I think you still can get your license at 16 in some states, but I don't know.
Most of Canada has graduated licencing. I'd say to search google for something like "driver's licence" and the area you're interested in to find out.

You will have to check with your States DMV. All States differ in the requirements for a license. In KY, it is 16 for the permit and you have to have it for 30 days, and then you can schedule the driver's test.

It depends on what state you live in. Since your on a computer, why not Google your state plus .gov and they usually have a link to Department of Motor Vehicles. They should also have info for the age you have to be for a driver license. Good luck and don't use your cell phone while driving!

I dont know how it works in your state. but in AZ.. you can get a permit when your 15 and 7months.. then you have to have it for 5 months! then when you are 16 you can get the license.. lets say your 15 and u wait til the 8th month... and get your permit.. right when u turn 16, youll still have to wait another month..
but each state is different so check your local motor vehical divison place
