For example, can honda, toyota, etc body kits be used on a tercel or taurus with the proper adjustments or something?

No, the fiberglass would probably break as you tried to tack it on a different car.

Plus, the gaps would be all wrong.

Body kits are designed with certain frames in mind, certain suspension, etc. To do away with such and go to different designs one has to be very adept and very knowledgeable of cars and capable of engineering the metal and fiberglass to compensate for the new donor, etc. For example, some Ferrari kits are possibly designed with trans am frames in mind. To convert the kit to a Chevy nova frame would take some alterations, adaptations, and compromises, some of which would be sacrificing performance and safety. A lot of it would be trial and error.
To be able to adopt a body kit to any car is impossible because safety and performance would have to be sacrificed and thrown out the window.

I doubt if it would look good. The kits are molded for the curves that each model has. Good luck.

no..you have to buy the one for the car you own. Not all cars are made the same, so how can you expect ONE kit to fit all cars.
