i'm pretty sure that the rooms in hong kong hotels are as big as the ones in the states or in canada. but it depends on which hotel too i guess...but if a person is to sleep in it, then a laptop should fit

if what you mean by fit is that will your laptop plug in then yes your laptop should fit because hong kong has many American tourist so they have changed their outlets instead of 220 Watt. but just in case you might want to buy a an adapter so it can fit in the outlet and be used.
