Besides, Base closing are NOT a political decision. The BRACC (Base Realignment and Closing Commission) decides which bases are to be closed. This decision cannot be changed, it can be accepted in its entirety or rejected in its entirety. Clinton closed NO bases for any reason good or bad.
Reagan and George I did NOT downsize the military. George I used the military in Kuwait successfully.
Clinton cut back the military and got a bunch of our soldiers killed in Somalia by not giving them proper back up.
Then he bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan to get the news off of his rape of Juanita Broaddrick.
