People tend to care more about animals than people. I understand that animals shouldn't be hurt, but if it was a man being beaten would people have come to the recsue for him and step in and have as much to say about. I DON'T THINK SO!

Uh yeah people would care if Vick was hanging, electrocuting, and murdering people. That would make him a serial killer.

Another one of the programmed masses that can't THINK and use his or her own mind.
To quote Terry C: "Uh, if it was a man Vick was killing, he'd be fighting for life in prison over the death penalty... "

VICK HAS NOT BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF KILLING ANYTHING!

And not to defend dogfighting, I would imagine that at least some of the dog killings were mercy killings.
I would imagine the dog that lost the fight was very badly injured and the judging by the nature of the event, I seriously doubt if any of the losing dog owners are willing to take the dog(s) to a veterinarian.
Ashton C.'s link reminded me of a fight show I don't remember the name or TV network that used to show it.

edit: the question is NOT ABOUT MURDER.
It's about the discrepancy of treatment of a man as opposed to a dog or any other animal.
To the asker et al; don't forget that this is a country founded by individuals that slaughtered and corralled the indigenous and native people to this country; this is a country founded by individuals that possessed, mistreated, beaten and killed slaves and continue to lynch and kill black people to this very day.
This is a country with individuals that target, beat and kill the so-called inferior; i.e. losers.
This is a country with individuals that beat and kill homosexuals simply because they are homosexual.
Don't forget that because this is a country of individuals that are the progeny of the aforementioned mean-spirited and evil individuals. :-(

i assume which you're asking on the subject of the Vick canines battling scandal. From what I certainly have examine the canines don't have a say in notwithstanding if to combat or not. a guy could have the means to have a say. not too many prizefighters are thrown in the hoop and instructed combat or die. could you care as plenty for the animal because of fact the guy if that became into the case? i don't think of SO!
