wat did u think was better?? the new harry potter movie, or the book and why??? i just finished the book at think 7. i loved the book soooooooo much better b/c it had more detail and the end was PERFECT!!!!! except i cried before the epilogue!!

The book is the perfect ending to the series from a very gifted author. I enjoyed the movie immensely, but a movie can only share so much of a story.

Books are usually better than the movies. Books can go into much more detail. But, the Harry Potter movies have been very good and have held to the books quite well. If you were to put all of the book details into the movies, we would be sitting there for hours. Also, the movie that is being shown now in theaters is the Order of the Phoenix, book 5.

Of course the book was better. Books are (almost) always better than movies. Though, I can't decide which book I think is better, OotP or Deathly Hallows.
I actually went to see Order of the Pheonix again today in IMAX. It was quite strange seeing it right after reading the series conclusion. And, I kept getting teary eyed whenever two certain red heads showed on screen :(

The book. Too much was taken out or altered to make the movie. Things folks who know the book didn't get some of the scenes we might have really liked to have seen. Like maybe Harry wrecking Dumbledore's office. Or the twins telling Peeves to give Umbridge hell for them. Or Ron joining the Gryffindor quiditch team.

OMG ME TOO! i miss Harry Potter :(. the book obviously was better, we have been waiting so long, we all have grown to love and Harry and although the movie was far from a dissappointment, true fans would say the book, which was AMAZING! I cried so much, i think i lsot like a litre of tears. lol jk! but it was still sad.

The books. The film is just an interpretation. For time's sake much has to be left out or combined.
I cried many times reading book 7. This is probably my favourite of the series.

the book was so much better. it basically explained everything in the entire series even though some important characters died at least it had a somewhat happy ending

The book was better, but I also loved the end of the movie when Voldemort dueled Dumbledore.

I think that the books are better becuase they are more detailed and they explain it.
