Is it ever okay for a man of those ages to date and marry a 16 year old?

I think that in most states, if not all of them, that is illegal.

Has happened quite a lot in ancient times, basically because the men would spend all their youth getting rich, then they would marry a child bride so that she would be young and healthy enough to bear him many children and handle the work load of raising them. These days though it's not as popular, and a marriage can't be done without the parent's permission under the age of 18.

No! They are sick and do that because it is a control thing. If a man is 40 and a girl is 20, then that is a bit more OK. Mental maturity is important. A 16 year old is still a kid and can be easily manipulated by an old fart!

A girl at that age is gullible and easily duped. They just don't know what the world is all about. Any man who goes after such a young girl is a predator . Men who steal innocents from young girls is sick. Real men know the difference between a woman who can handle all that is involved in sex and relationships and all that comes with it. A real man would not want to rape a child.

I think today he's willing to date a 16 year old, tomorrow it will be a 13 year old and then a 10 year old. He's not good news and will only get worse. Stay away and warn your friends.
Its never okay for a man to marry someone who is young enough to be his child.

It's illegal...you have to be 18 to do that...but the man won't benefit from that young of woman...why? because that age doesn't have experience....and he would be teaching you most things...when you turn 18, dating someone who is 25 is ok, but you need someone who can experience the same things you see for the first time.......

I would think they were sick! I mean why would someone that old be interested in a child? Come on there's only one reason! It is a baaaaad idea! The sixteen year old might be emotionally scared for life.Never ever okay!

IMHO, no they should never date/marry a girl that young. What could they even have in common on a mental level? To me that's all about sex and nothing else, and even there, they are a miss match. A 16 year old has no idea what sex is yet.

NO! Think of when you were 16 and how immature you were looking back!! that is just taking advantage of someone when they are that young. When someone is older such an age difference is not that big, but if one person is a teenager, it is big!

Wrong, what could they have in common other than wanting sex, they are older, they can play you better and know all the right lines, stay away from them. Shouldnt you be wondering why? they can't find someone their own age?
