My mother is a Saint. My Grandmothers are Saints. How come I can't find no woman here that could continue the line of good women in my family.
They were nice girls, waited for marriage. They tell their granddaughters sleeping round is a sin- they didn't do it.
And they can cook old world style. My mother makes the best pasta, period! It seems all the women I meet live on take out chinese or McDonalds or more of that unhealthy stuff.
And the women in my family, they demand respect and gets it. I have not met any woman that demands it, quite on the contrary. They seem to do whatever they can to tarnish their reputations.

I think it is because most people these days have lost a lot of their values. Personally, I want to be like my Mama. She always stayed home..had great homemade meals, homemade cookies, cakes, pies, you name it! She was always there for me and still is. I want to model that. So, it isn't all women. I think women with morals and values are just few and far between anymore. I really mean that. Nothing against you personally, but I also think a lot of men have done the same thing...few morals and values. Not speaking for all you women and men out there now. Just seems like that is true of the majority of people.
I think it is really hard to find a couple in which both the man and the woman are moral and have good family values, BUT it does exist. My husband and I have been married for 16 yrs now and together for over 19. I hope you find someone too!

How come there are no good Women like Mama, anymore? Women nowadays are more educated, Liberated, and more open to voice their opinions on what they aspire to have in Life. If they get their Master's Degrees like my Daughters, they say they are iqual to their Husbands because they can carry the same weight, as their Hubby's. But my Daughters, are unique in that they were raised by me their Mother, and they know that even though they are educated and have good Jobs, they cannot neglect their duties as a Wife, Mother, and Homemaker. I married my Husband at the age of 16 years old, but by that age I was wise beyond my years, I knew what was expected of me, when I got Married, and I knew how to be a good cook,wife, Mother. So, I guess I consider myself a Good Woman like your Mama. But do not forget that my daughters though they are of this Generation, they too are Good Women as your Mama. there are Good Women out there you only have to look around and you will be able to find one for you.

I think the times they are a changin'. You're not going to find many "saints" out there. It's a different world.
That's not to say you won't find a kind, loving, woman who loves to cook your Italian food and maybe even grow her own tomatoes for the sauce! They're out there, you just have to give up some of your illusions of sainthood. People are people. If you can find a good person who loves you, treats you with respect, is good mommy material, you'll be a very lucky person. Good luck on your quest. It's going to be hard for many women to meet your criteria.

I'd have to say that I'm very similar to the women in your family. I'm pretty old fashioned and have no interest in changing. I'll be cooking from scratch 'til I die. My friends think I'm a nut (but they have no problem eating it! :) Morals have gone to hell in a handbasket and I hate it. I think I was born in the wrong time period.
So...I would imagine there are more people like me out there, but there should be more of us. Life would be simpler. Hope you find Miss Right!

That is sort of true, depending on where you live. There are tons of women like your mom and grandma in Utah. In the rest of the world we have all evolved, which is good and bad. Women are smarter and more capable then ever.. but there are a select few "Paris Hilton" types who are lost and clueless about life.
